Local Testing Issues

You may experience some security issues when running local files. e.g. If you double click on an HTML file on your local machine and the address in the browser's address bar looks like:

file://path/to/file.html
-- OR --
C:\path\to\file.html

Internet Explorer (IE) is especially suseptable to "issues" with local files.

This is due to the built in security measures of some browsers, which frown upon loading local files through the browser.

Most "basic" testing can be done running local files. However, for advanced applications, such as loading external playlists, we highly recommend set things up and testing on a web server.
