On the left-hand side of the application is the "Object On / Off Switch Toolbar".
When Skin Designer launches, the default player will appear in the work area and all of the available Control Elements will be "on".
NOTE: Control Elements are buttons, sliders and other "things" that control a player. We refer to these Control Elements as "objects" when working in Skin Designer simply because its easier to read (and write).
Each object in a player has a corresponding "On / Off" switch.
To turn an object "on" or "off" click it's corresponding "On / Off" switch in the toolbar. Hovering over an "On / Off" switch will reveal a pop-up text explanation of the object.
Objects that are "on" are brighter. Objects that are "off" are greyed-out. For example, in the image to the right, the "Rewind" and "Next" buttons are "off".
Where did it go?
If you click to turn an object "on", the object will appear either in the place where it was before it was turned off. Or, it will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the work area.
In our example to the right, the skin we were working on did not use a "Next" button. So when we turned it "on" the button was placed in the upper-left-hand corner of the work area.
This aspect can get a little tricky, especially if the button or object is the same color as the background.
In such cases, you may want to change the Page Background color in order to find the button.
Another option would be to resize the Skin Designer application so that it is really, really small, then toggle the "On / Off", which will cause any button that may be located outside of the working area's boundaries to get reset to the upper-left.
